The Crown Chakra, or Sahasrara, is the center of spiritual connection, unity, and higher consciousness. In this piece, the olive tree became its natural symbol. Its roots reach deep into the soil, echoing the grounding wisdom of the land and subtly referencing the Root Chakra. Its branches extend upward toward the sky, serving as a living bridge between earth and the greater universe.
Olive trees are woven into Italy’s cultural and spiritual landscape. Ancient, resilient, and deeply rooted, they represent peace, endurance, and continuity. For me, they also symbolize integration. True spiritual awareness is not about escaping the world, but about standing firmly within it while remaining open to something larger.
This artwork is part of my Italian Chakra Series, inspired by my life in Italy. Hand-drawn slowly with ink, acrylic, and small drops of Mediterranean seawater, the piece incorporates mosaic borders, flowing sky patterns, and stained glass inspired textures that honor Italian craft traditions.
